Scotland is waiting to welcome the return of visitors!
So I am happy to take enquiries and bookings for 2022. Most of my 2020 clients have rescheduled their tours to 2022 as they do not want to miss out on a personalised, exclusive Scottish Adventure.
I still have plenty of dates available for me to show you the very best of Scotland, her Islands and Highlands, with my personalised driver guided tour designed to suit your own requirements of interests, or if you prefer a selection of ‘must sees’ with some ‘less touristy places’ and accommodation to suit your needs anything from bed and breakfast/guest house, country house hotels or inns and even castles in some places.
My Events page update for 2022 will need to wait for some time yet to see what events will actual take place but the present Events page will give you an idea what can be woven into your tour itinerary.
In the meantime keep safe and well and I look forward to hearing from you and I will create wonderful memories to last a lifetime. Book early to avoid disappointment!
Ceud Mile Failte!
"A Hundred Thousand Welcomes" await you when you enjoy Scotland in the company of a Scottish tour guide.
"Scotland has a personality all of its own. A rich historical past; splendid scenery; romantic ruins; highlands and islands; superb stately homes, castles and museums; lochs, glens and rivers; wonderful golf, fishing, walking and cycling; lush pasturelands, moors, forests and deserted beaches; tartan, tweed and quality knitwear; an abundance of wildlife and of course, an unsurpassed excellence in food, drink and hospitality."
A Wonderful addition to your Scottish Tour!
'City Walks Edinburgh' a book written by myself which details 15 walks in and around the city exploring the Old Town, Georgian New Town, Parks, Gardens, Art Galleries and Museums. £9.99 signed from myself or from Amazon. I am pleased to say that due to popularity my book has had to be reprinted this year and now includes extra refreshment suggestions.
I am happy to accompany parties of any number in all areas of Scotland.
I am very fortunate to have been successful in two travel awards.
Whether you are a fan of the Outlander TV Series and would like to see the filming locations or an avid reader of the Diana Gabaldon books or maybe you just want to enjoy a personal, bespoke tour around some of Scotland's finest scenery, with some live history presentations then the Outlander Tour could be for you.
See Outlander Themed Tour for more details.
You could enjoy a Highland Safari taking you 3,000 feet up into the hills to see the country from a very different viewpoint and spot red deer, mountain hare, grouse, buzzards and eagles. You can enjoy the scenery whilst your specialist land rover driver guide takes you around. You could even have a picnic on the hills and partake of delicious Scottish produce and maybe even a wee dram.We have much to celebrate in this wonderful country and I look forward to welcoming you in the coming year.
2020 Scotland's Coasts and Waters Tour
In 2020 Scotland celebrates her coasts and waters. Scotland boasts a hugely varied coastline and a rich offering of inland waters in both rural and urban settings for both visitors and locals to enjoy.
Old Man of Hoy, Orkney.
Our coasts and waters are host to an amazing array of riches, in all shapes and sizes and are greatly cherished by communities and visitors alike.
Our lochs, rivers and canals also play an important part in the visitor experience , boat trips, fishing opportunities and activities. They are also home to a tremendous variety of flora, fauna and wildlife.
Scotland's Coasts and Waters have shaped our history:from fishing and textiles to whisky and wave power. They have influenced our culture, our stories and our way of life.
Neptunes Staircase, Banavie.
So whether you want to explore our distant islands, navigate our canals, lochs or rivers or experience Scotland's maritime heritage at a visitor attraction or enjoy the abundant natural larder or discover our wildlife on a local boat trip – Scotland's coasts and waters are perfect for a get-away-from-it-all adventure.
What are you waiting for - come on in, the water's lovely!
Tolsta Beach, Lewis.
I can plan an itinerary showing you the very best of these areas of Scotland and suggest wonderful, accommodation that will compliment the coastline and waterways you will experience. I will driver guide you in comfortable vehicles and if you have any mobilty issues I can organise wheelchair friendly vehicles to suit.
I always try and suggest accommodations I know personally, that way I am assured that my visitors experience the very best of Scottish Hospitality. I can also suggest access friendly accommodation.
Driver Guide / Coach / Mini-coach
I am a registered driverguide and can escort you in my Mercedes Viano cdi X-clusive, black leather interior, air-conditioned, luxury, executive comfort people carrier with a maximum of 6 passengers. Plenty of space for luggage and 'retail therapy' packages!
If your group is slightly larger, up to 8 people, I can use a Mercedes Vito, where my business colleague will drive and I will be your tourist guide.
I also drive a top of the range FordKuga Vignale which has cream cashmere leather seating, air-conditioning and plenty of space for luggage. It is ideal for up to 3 passengers.
For much larger groups I can arrange luxury coaches or midi-coaches whichever is more suitable for your requirements. You will have an experienced coach driver and myself as your tourist guide. So any size of group can be catered for, from the individual traveller to larger parties.
If your main language is not English I can arrange for a language speaking guide to accompany you on the tour.
If you have mobility problems:
My vehicle can take a collapsible wheelchair or collapsible travel mobility scooter as long as the user can transfer to a regular vehicle seat.
If you are in a wheelchair and cannot transfer to a regular vehicle seat I can use a very comfortable wheelchair accessible vehicle where you can still enjoy a Scottish Tour with family or friends from the comfort of your own wheelchair. I can also suggest accommodation to suit your mobility issues and plan visit to places that have easy access.
Left; Phil and Cathy Cohl enjoyed the accommodation and hospitality at Castle Stuart near Inverness.
I can show you a Scotland where you will enjoy many special experiences unique to my country, experiences which will indeed, "haste ye back!"
There are a number of activities that can be included into your tour to enhance your experience of Scotland like horse riding (even western style on Appaloosa Horses): fishing, golfing, clay pigeon shooting, and falconry.
Right; A group of American visitors loved the falconry experience handling a variety of birds of prey. The highlight of the day being with Pilgrim the American Bald Eagle!
Below are links to some of my tours... I also have a six-day Spirit of Scotland Tour which includes Whisky Distilleries and Castles, Clan Tours and Scottish Border Tours - please enquire! Itineraries can also be arranged for bespoke tours to suit individual interests and wishes, for example, family/clan tours, gardens, golf, historic houses, retail therapy. I can also recommend accommodation to suit your requirements/budget - anything from delightful, comfortable bed and breakfast to guest houses, farms, country house hotels and castles. If you require flight arrangements that can also be organised, and, if your language is not English, I can arrange for a suitable language speaking guide to escort you on your tours. Nothing is a problem; it is an opportunity for me to make your visit a most enjoyable and unforgetable experience!
