Contemporary self-catering rental in Georgian Edinburgh

Extracts from the Visitors' Book:
"Stunning - Love it!" Jimmy Carr
"Great pad." Ian Botham
"The coolest house in town." Forbes Magazine

This is a chance to stay in an inspired Richard Murphy Architects designed house built of stone, wood, glass, slate, lead and steel with an exciting light and modern interior, sympathetically blending in with the beautiful surrounding 18th and 19th century classical Georgian architecture of 'New Town' Edinburgh.

Once inside the discrete front door (beside the garage door to the left of the middle of the picture, above) the house reveals itself in a series of changing levels, light wells and unexpected spaces. The cosy bedrooms are downstairs, and expansive living rooms up, culminating in a large roof-terrace on top.

With the cafés, bars, restaurants and shops of Stockbridge (including artisan cheese shop Mellis) just round the corner, and a pleasant walk to Princes Street, this is the perfect place to stay in Edinburgh, especially as owners Mike and Susan Gordon live right next door so are on hand to welcome you and make sure everything is alright.
