The top two floors of this Georgian house just off Princes Street opposite Edinburgh Castle have been converted to three-star bed and breakfast accommodation - a convenient and friendly place to stay in the very centre of Edinburgh.

Even though its location is so central it is, as many guests remark, surprisingly quiet - probably because it is "high up". Naturally this is an ideal base from which to explore the heart of Edinburgh on foot.

Guests at Castle View can book a day pass at the nearby Roxburghe Hotel Health and Leisure Club. The club, less than 100 metres away, has a gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam room - or appointments can be made for a massage, facial or other treatment at the Beauty Spa. Castle View Guest House has wireless broadband internet access.

The accommodation consists of eight bedrooms; family rooms with single and double beds, double-bed or twin-bed rooms and a single bedroom:
